Known for her use of bright colors and innovative painting techniques, Camilla d’Errico has been venturing into new markets through carefully chosen partnerships with other artists, designers, and creative companies. Her latest project is a collaboration with Seattle-based Rubbish Rehab in the creation of one-of-a-kind, antique chairs re-upholstered with fabric bearing d’Errico’s artwork. The first chair is designed with the “Loveless Bird” image. Every chair is a vintage or antique and the frame and upholstery are completely refurbished. “This collaboration has been my absolute favorite so far. I adore home decor and victorian, vintage objects and mixing that with my art is a match made in heaven. It takes my art into new, uncharted territory.” says d’Errico. “Home decor is an area where my art can really be brought out in ways I didn’t even think were possible.” The chair collection will be expanded to include other designs and other chair styles and customers can pre-order a chair and have the opportunity to choose the frame. The images are matched to chair styles and carefully designed to bring out the best in the art’s detail. Only 10 of any one chair-design will ever be made – these are more than just furniture, they are pieces of art.
