The PROJECTiON initiative views and presents work that has undergone computer/human interaction processes in direct lineage to its cultural predecessors, showing that an expanded digital toolset can lead to an expansion of formal concerns and impulses that can be traced back throughout the canon of art history. The curated series provides an opportunity for VOLTA NY patrons to experience these moving image fine art works in different contexts and environments. Works will be screened in multiple elevators taking visitors to the show, on the exhibition floor and in shuttle buses. /break> instrumental video nine from beeple on Vimeo. /break> “We believe that the most relevant art today is being made by people who do not necessarily refer to themselves as artists. They are animators, filmmakers and motion graphics experts who are creating visually stunning, thought-provoking pieces that capture and define the mood of the present. The PROJECTiON initiative is a first step in an ongoing curatorial process to give this artwork the attention it deserves,” said Debra Anderson, CEO and Founder, Culture Shock Marketing (CSM). /break> To view all the videos visit Culture Shock Marketing or check the Daily Fixes on No New Enemies.
