Sten and Lex in Koge Denmark

My friends Sten and Lex just sent over this video report from their past month in Koge, Denmark. What the two did over the course of their 20 day stay in the town was create what might have been the world’s largest stencil ever. If you haven’t seen their Stencil Posters before they’re worth checking out. I always thought they looked great on a small scale but working on something this size is pretty fucking unbelievable.

Their process goes like this
-They paste up a poster on the wall,
-then they cut the printed image creating a Stencil.
-they paint over the stencil
-they destroy the stencil, the matrix. the final image take form.

For this reason the piece is unique, all the pieces of paper that are hanging off are pieces of the destroyed matrix.

700 square meters of paper and paint. Check out the process video.
